Portrait of meHello and welcome to my photo-blog.

I want to first say thank you for taking the time to check me out.

I started this blog to fill a gap in the way I show my photography to family, friends and potential clients. I have a few other sites were I display my work, however none are geared toward me documenting my thoughts on photography and sharing the things I experience on a daily basis. I shoot all types of photography. Sometimes I think I am addicted. I have countless numbers of pictures saved on my hard drive that would otherwise go unseen. I have so much to share and will take on the task of getting the highlights of my photographic career here on this blog.

I don't have time to maintain several different blogs for all the aspects of my photography so you will see a mixture of photos posted to this blog. It will be business mixed with a bit of personal. There is so much I want to get out and I don't want to hinder myself too much with organization (must be the artist in me). You can rest assured it will all be about my love for photography.

Feel free to leave comments on the photos you like. I would like input to keep this thing interactive. I would also like to share tips with photographers to give insight on how I continue to perfect my craft (it is a constant learning process).

That is all for now. Check back regularly for updates...

Photo shoot with Nila

I had a great time today photographing an up and coming model by the name of Nila. You can check her out on Model Mayhem here.

Nila was a joy to work with and I would highly recommend her for any modeling job you have in mind. She was on time and very eager to try different concepts. Her go with the flow attitude really complemented my shooting style well.

Some background on these photos. The day was overcast and I shot all these with available light through an 85mm 1.8 lens. For you camera technophiles out there the ISOs were very high at times (several shots were taken at 1600).

Overall I was pleased with the outcome. I was trying to go outside my comfort zone a bit and push my creativity...

I thought this to be a very nice and natural photo of Nila

Thanks again Nila for being such a good sport and waiting patiently for me to get the proofs to you.
