Portrait of meHello and welcome to my photo-blog.

I want to first say thank you for taking the time to check me out.

I started this blog to fill a gap in the way I show my photography to family, friends and potential clients. I have a few other sites were I display my work, however none are geared toward me documenting my thoughts on photography and sharing the things I experience on a daily basis. I shoot all types of photography. Sometimes I think I am addicted. I have countless numbers of pictures saved on my hard drive that would otherwise go unseen. I have so much to share and will take on the task of getting the highlights of my photographic career here on this blog.

I don't have time to maintain several different blogs for all the aspects of my photography so you will see a mixture of photos posted to this blog. It will be business mixed with a bit of personal. There is so much I want to get out and I don't want to hinder myself too much with organization (must be the artist in me). You can rest assured it will all be about my love for photography.

Feel free to leave comments on the photos you like. I would like input to keep this thing interactive. I would also like to share tips with photographers to give insight on how I continue to perfect my craft (it is a constant learning process).

Art Show at The Coffee Garden

This evening I attended an art show at a local coffee house close to midtown. I had been to this coffee house one time previously and really enjoyed the atmosphere. When I got word of an art show being hosted there and one of my family members being a featured artist - I thought, what a perfect opportunity to take pictures and chat with family and other fellow artists.

Now I know some folks don't consider photography to be an art (believe it or not), but I consider the way I take pictures and my passion for such definitely to be artistic.

Any way enough with the pleasantries - lets get on with the show. Here are some photos I grabbed. The lighting was terrible (from a photographers perspective - it was otherwise very nice) which made for a good challenge. I am always taking advantage of opportunities like this to sharpen my skills. I figure the more crappy lighting situations I manage to pull decent pictures off in the better photographer I will be in the long-run.

Just in case you want to check out this location, her is the info:

This little tree caught my attention as I walked in. It was something about the way it was shining in the light (stay away from the light...) - I just couldn't help myself...

Live music was playing and it really added to the mood. It was very soothing
