Portrait of meHello and welcome to my photo-blog.

I want to first say thank you for taking the time to check me out.

I started this blog to fill a gap in the way I show my photography to family, friends and potential clients. I have a few other sites were I display my work, however none are geared toward me documenting my thoughts on photography and sharing the things I experience on a daily basis. I shoot all types of photography. Sometimes I think I am addicted. I have countless numbers of pictures saved on my hard drive that would otherwise go unseen. I have so much to share and will take on the task of getting the highlights of my photographic career here on this blog.

I don't have time to maintain several different blogs for all the aspects of my photography so you will see a mixture of photos posted to this blog. It will be business mixed with a bit of personal. There is so much I want to get out and I don't want to hinder myself too much with organization (must be the artist in me). You can rest assured it will all be about my love for photography.

Feel free to leave comments on the photos you like. I would like input to keep this thing interactive. I would also like to share tips with photographers to give insight on how I continue to perfect my craft (it is a constant learning process).

Jesus Bowl 08

A tradition that started some 8 years ago has been carried on yet another year. I am dubbing this event the Jesus bowl because it is an annual tackle football game that is played every year on Christmas morning. I figured since the games played on Thanksgiving are called Turkey Bowls (see my post on that below) this would respectively be called the Jesus Bowl.

The game this year went off without a hitch. Mother Nature threatened to shut us down earlier in the week with forecasts of bad weather. The weather, however, turned out to be the best we had in years.

This year we had fourteen players (that is including myself) which is not too bad of a turnout. Our player count has ranged anywhere from about 10 to as much as 20+. As long as I have this blog going I figured I would start documenting this momentous event. It will be cool to see the different faces that come and go through the upcoming years.

As far as myself - I wouldn't miss this event for nothing - as long as I can put one foot in front of the other. I am a firm believer in staying active. I believe it will keep you young in the long-run. The majority of the people that come out and play are at least 10 years younger than me and the founding players yet we old guys continue to hold our own.

Well that's all for this post. Check out the photos below of this year's participants...

Note: Anyone is welcome for ’09 we will be there same time (10:30am) – same place

Individual players. I picked a nice shaded spot behind a cargo container that had some cool lettering on it to enhance the background a bit...

My youngest son got hit in the head with the ball right before this shot was taken, that is why he has the sad face (he was ok though)
