Trip to the City

I went to Oakland today for the Raiders vs. Chiefs game. I had a great time. My uncle was kind enough to give me excellent tickets for the lolo price. We were sitting in the first section of seats right off the field. We were sitting on the home team side just forward of the 50 yard line. I didn't get great pictures inside because they wouldn't let me take my big dawg camera inside.

After the game was over I decided to go into San Fransisco on a picture safari. It was a great day all around and a great night shoot...

Me goofing around taking a self portrait. I was playing around with the exposure to see how I could tie the neon background in. I think that wide angle lens makes my nose look a little big...Hmmmm




Before we actually went to the game I caught this drummer playing at a flea market in the B.A.R.T station parking lot.

Kings at Arco Arena

A good friend of mine, whom I really consider family, had an extra ticket to the Kings game. He calls me up just before half-time (don't ask why he waited this long...you would just have to know him) and asked if I wanted to come. Me being the photo op thinking kind of guy I am - I jumped on it.

He is a barber and cuts Kevin Martin's hair. Kevin gives him tickets from time to time and this is one of those times. The tickets were really close to the floor (as I knew they would be) so I was able to get of a few good shots with my 100mm lens. I wish they would let me in with my long lens, but that just wasn't happening.

Turkey Bowl '08

Well another year has already gone by and once again it was time for the annual Turkey Bowl. The Turkey Bowl takes place on thanksgiving morning at an elementary school in Rancho Cordova. I was invited several years back by my uncle who is friends with the family who started the tradition.

The night before is always very exciting as I am anxious to see all my friends, most of which I haven't seen all year. There are so many pictures that depict the day so it was hard for me to pick which ones to show on my blog. See which ones I chose below and let me know what you think. Do they give you a feel for the love that is always present year after year?

Devyn - this is Ron's son. I remember this boy coming home for the first time after being born (I'm old).

"Q" Dawg - I've known this boy since he was about 8 years old. Now he's all grown up...

At the end of the game it is always traditional to get a little champagne rain...




Then everyone heads back to the founding family's house around the corner for the after-party. Here are some shots I grabbed of folks having fun.

Perked Clothing

I stopped by my boy Mike's house today to help him take some pics of his new clothing line. Mike is a very talented artist and is currently working to get his clothing out on the streets. Check out the sick art prints in the photos below.
