Well another year has already gone by and once again it was time for the annual Turkey Bowl. The Turkey Bowl takes place on thanksgiving morning at an elementary school in Rancho Cordova. I was invited several years back by my uncle who is friends with the family who started the tradition.
The night before is always very exciting as I am anxious to see all my friends, most of which I haven't seen all year. There are so many pictures that depict the day so it was hard for me to pick which ones to show on my blog. See which ones I chose below and let me know what you think. Do they give you a feel for the love that is always present year after year?
I will start with a little of the traditions. Crown Royal is always present...

Things just wouldn't be right without a little lumpia...

Some of my good friends that come with me every year
Ron - He is more like a brother to me. we have been close friends for nearly 25 years
Devyn - this is Ron's son. I remember this boy coming home for the first time after being born (I'm old).
"Q" Dawg - I've known this boy since he was about 8 years old. Now he's all grown up...
At the end of the game it is always traditional to get a little champagne rain...

Then everyone heads back to the founding family's house around the corner for the after-party. Here are some shots I grabbed of folks having fun.
My cousin Kendrick
Ray, the guy laughing in the background, used to be my supervisor at UPS way back in the mid 90's

Some of the younger attendees...
This young man was so photogenic - you know I had to snap a pic for the portfolio
This young lady was very shy with me at first, but then I won her over. Her she is showing me a flower. I blew the flower out to focus on her expression - it is what I was trying to capture...
Here she is again hamming it up
And last, but by no means least - my beautiful baby cousin (this is Kendrick's daughter)
